The
review process for the Journal of Technology in Counseling mirrors
traditional
paper bound journals and follows the standards of rigor
established
in Jencius and Baltimore (2000)**. Manuscripts are accepted
electronically.
All author identifying information is removed to protect
reviewers
from any potential conflicts and then each manuscript is emailed
to
a three reviewer team solicited from our existing editorial board
(http://jtc.colstate.edu/editor.htm)
Reviewers use standard review forms
(see
http://jtc.colstate.edu/revform.htm)
for evaluating the quality of
the
article with a summative final evaluation of the following
possibilities;
1. Accept as is, 2. Accept after modifications, 3.
Revisions
and review, 4. Rewrite, resubmit and review, 5. Reject -
unsound,
6. Reject - inappropriate for JTC - the following journals are
suggested.
Acceptance
rates for the journal are figured by total number of published
articles
(excluding editorials and editor solicited articles) divided by
the
total number of submissions (excluding editorials and editor solicited
articles).
